Dear Campers,

Welcome to Vermont, the Green Mountain State! We know that you are going to find everything that you are looking for in our beautiful state—peace, solitude, great shopping opportunities, wonderful attractions and museums, and some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet.

In addition to 72 privately owned and operated campgrounds, we have 37 state park campgrounds for your outdoor use and enjoyment. The owners and managers are all looking forward to your visit, and are anxious to tell you about the many local attractions and sights to see.

The Vermont Campground Association is very interested in helping you enjoy the very special times that you have to vacation in our state. Campsites range from those with complete hook-ups to very simple tent camping in a remote location. My very best personal wishes for a most memorable visit.

Sincerely,
James H. Douglas

Vermont Governor
